Philip Kotler
He was born in Chicago, Ilinois on May 27, 1931. He first studied in the university DePaul in him city native. He earned his M.A. from the University of Chicago in 1953 and his Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1956. In 1962, Kotler began his career as a university professor at the Kellogg School of Management and in 1967 published what is now considered the bible of Marketing: Marketing Management: Analysis, Planning, and Control. He published other notable works: "Marketing Principles" in 1980 and "Social Marketing: Strategies for Changing Public Behavior" in 1989. These books were followed by others. Kotler also dedicated himself to private activity. Thus, he founded the consultancy Kotler Marketing Group (KMG). He was honored with the 1978 Paul Converse Award and the 1995 Irwin-McGrawHill Distinguished Marketing Educator Award. Both by the American Marketing Association (AMA). The strongest thought by the economist was that the benefit was linked to the wellbeing of the consumer and of society, so marketing should not only be part of the strategy of any company, but it should be the center of it. He was distinguished by countless prizes and awards in the last 40 years.
